Time to Restore Thank You

Sunday was an all-in-one celebration! Worship – Feast of New Beginnings – Commitment Sunday – Seahawks– YEAH! And it felt like that. It feels so appropriate to be meditating on Psalm 104 in preparation for this week’s worship service – “Let all that I am praise the LORD…”

On top of all the milestones, we also had 26 kids and almost half of them are under the age of 5. So… I’m already anticipating our gratitude practices in the weeks to come and saying THANK YOU GOD for our kids’ team! Thank you for Kyle Ann opening the preschool room this year. Thank you for Maddy who is allowing her heart to be filled with love for every age and stage 0-28 and – even more audaciously – leading us in intergenerational life and family. Thank you Zack and Margaret and Kyla and Debi and James and Kirsten and Keifer and Beth and Stephanie who so regularly experience and teach the way of Jesus with our kids.

This has been a year of growth in faith, listening to God, meeting kids where they are, extending hospitality and welcome. Take 90 seconds and celebrate that with me in some pictures from this year:

There is more to come! Save the Date for March 1! This date marks the two year TIME TO RESTORE. During the worship service we invite you to bring as much of your TIME TO RESTORE gift as you are able for our “Fish & Loaves” offering. This will help us set the pace for both ministry and building restoration. For some of us, that means setting up automated giving that day so that we can faithfully fulfill the commitment we have made for the next two years (online option here). Others may be able to bring a check or make an online gift that represents a significant portion of what we have committed to give. All of us are invited to bring our first and best gifts. Then, following the service, we will lift a toast to King Jesus and to all his work of restoration among us at Yoked Brewery (a nonalcoholic toast and snacks will be provided.)

You can still jump in and join the 56 families who have already made two-year commitments to TIME TO RESTORE. If you have your physical card, you can bring it with you this Sunday or mail it in (703 Kitsap St. Port Orchard, WA 98366), or we have an online form here.

This is just really special, what God is doing among us here at Kitsap House. I praise you, God. I thank you for this community. And I am so excited for what is to come.

Praise the Lord, all his works

everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the Lord, my soul. (Psalm 103:22)
