Time to Restore Launch

Yesterday was a big deal! We launched TIME TO RESTORE – a generosity initiative to fund two years of a vision to restore a people and a place. Restoration is already in process!

Already we are being formed as an extended family in Christ.

Already we are repairing the building we own on Mitchell Ave.

So what’s new? We are prayerfully seeking God’s leading on our own commitment to TIME TO RESTORE. By bringing our two year financial commitments together, we will be able to pace the work of sustaining ministry and restoring Mitchell House.

We took our kids’ engagement guides out to dinner Sunday night to celebrate the launch. It was fun to help Rebecca find and color in houses and to help Reed decipher Greek as he searched for the word oikos, “house,” in yesterday’s Scripture text. We prayed the preschool version of Hebrews 3:6 as a prayer over the whole day: God, thank you that we are in your family.

Seeking God’s leading looks like this kind of delightful, family conversation and transformation. Join us! We handed out engagement guides Sunday. You can find a digital copy here and pick one up on Sunday! We’re aiming for 100% engagement from those who call Kitsap House home.

Engage together in:

Mark your calendars for February 8, 2026. This will be our Feast of New Beginnings – our annual celebration of our official birthday as a church. Appropriately, this will also be our Commitment Sunday, as we bring to the table what God has given us toward a work of restoration together. Our goal is to fund our ministry for two years and part of the cost of restoring Mitchell House for a total over two years of $1,455,000.

I hope you engage TIME TO RESTORE with all the delight of kids who carried home balloons on Sunday. We are holding fast to the hope that God is building and restoring us all.

One more bit of delight: a beautiful video that was created capturing the vision we have of restoring a people and a place. Take less than 4 minutes to watch it and pray gratitude and anticipation over the work of God here at Kitsap House.

Thank you for joining us for such a significant season of life, ministry, and kingdom vision!
