Practicing the Way

Cultivating habits that help us be with Jesus, look like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.

You’re ready for change.

Maybe you’re exploring faith and you’re not sure how it looks to live that out. Perhaps you’ve known Jesus for a long time, but you feel stuck in a rut. Practicing the Way is a course designed to cultivate ways of doing life with Jesus, to build a faith that lasts, a faith that matters in our world.

What to Expect

The Practicing the Way course is based off of materials created by pastor and author John Mark Comer, and reflect the wisdom and guidance of centuries-old faith practices. The course lasts 11 weeks. Teaching and practices are meant to be digested at home and meetings are focused on discussion, learning new practices, and opportunities for community. We begin each meeting with a meal. At the end of the course there will be opportunities to make a commitment to community, join a Pattern group, or create a “Rule of Life” that helps guide your practices. If you’re interested in building a foundation for life in community at Kitsap House, or just want practical wisdom for growing your faith, this is a great place to start.
